Every girl needs a great pair of black jeans in their wardrobe. Black jeans are one of those staple items that can carry you all the way through fall and winter. I wear mine with almost anything, but most commonly paired with a simple white tee.

Tomorrow is the first day of my fourth year of teaching! I am so excited for a fresh start with a new bunch of kiddos. I’ve always been a huge fan of the first day of school, starting way back in elementary school. Something about a clean school, fresh paper and pencils and a blank slate. With all of us teachers going back to work, I figured I’d share how I make sure to have the best work day. The majority of these “rituals” take place the night before, but they have worked wonders for me! There is nothing better than starting your day on a positive note. Fall is right around the corner, which means its time to start stocking up on closet staples for the season! I will never leave those two details behind just because they are not acceptable. To me, thinking fuchsia is not a fall or winter color is not acceptable! 🙂

I am so excited to share my bridal portraits with y’all. Our wedding was on the beach in Port Aransas, but I wanted some bridals that had a more romantic feel. The Dallas Arboretum is the perfect setting. I love seeing all of the gorgeous flowers, trees and water fountains. But the best part of the experience was seeing other brides taking their photos as well. It is so fun to share the moment with other brides. Even if we don’t talk, that smile and thumbs up across the field shows the comradery brides have amongst each other. Continue reading “Bridals at the Dallas Arboretum”
