Bridals at the Dallas Arboretum

Photographer: Krysten Alise Photography

I am so excited to share my bridal portraits with y’all. Our wedding was on the beach in Port Aransas, but I wanted some bridals that had a more romantic feel. The Dallas Arboretum is the perfect setting. I love seeing all of the gorgeous flowers, trees and  water fountains. But the best part of the experience was seeing other brides taking their photos as well. It is so fun to share the moment with other brides. Even if we don’t talk, that smile and thumbs up across the field shows the comradery brides have amongst each other.  Continue reading “Bridals at the Dallas Arboretum”

White Smocked Dress

Image-94.pngImage-99-1.pngDress: H&M // Sandals: Mix No 6 purchased in-store at DSW (Out of stock, however i’m loving this pair. // Envelope Hand Bag: Charming Charlie // Earrings: Bauble Bar (Out of stock, but how amazing is this pair! Be sure to pre-order them.) // Sunglasses: Buffalo Exchange

I am seeing smocked tops and dresses every where I go. It’s safe to say this style is definitely here to stay for the rest of the summer. Is it just me, or was the smocked dress in style back in ’07 and ’08 as well? Love how fashions almost always come back in style! In fact, I found fun smocked beach tops in my wedding color (turquoise) a while back at Walmart, which I purchased for my bridesmaids to get ready in. The dress I am wearing (from H&M) was originally purchased as my getting ready dress…and it worked out perfectly! And now I wear it all the time! Continue reading “White Smocked Dress”

Image-94.pngImage-94-1.pngJumpsuit: H&M // Watermelon Clutch: Forever 21 // Pink Envelope Crossbody: Charming Charlie // Earrings: Charming Charlie // Flip Flops: Target // Heels: Payless

Transitional pieces are my all time favorite clothing items for one obvious reason; you get more bang for your buck! I love jumpsuits for just this reason. I can wear one out to the beach and then dress it up a bit with some heels and fun accessories to wear for a night on the town. For this post, I decided to accessorize my fave jumpsuit from H&M two different ways; a casual look and a more dressed up look. Continue reading “Playsuit to Partysuit: Transitioning a Romper”
