Today, The Teacher in Tulle turns one! It is so crazy to say that. Creating my blog has definitely been one of my greatest accomplishments this year. Being a teacher gives me great joy, but I had always felt like something was missing. Before going to college to be a teacher, I began as a fashion design major. I learned early on that fashion design wasn’t for me because my heart wasn’t in it. Changing my major to education is one of my best decisions, however after college I couldn’t scratch that fashion itch I had. Finally, The Teacher in Tulle did just that. I am so thankful for all the opportunities and friends this blog has given me thus far. I cannot wait to see where this journey will take me in the future!
There’s no better way to celebrate my blog turning one than by wearing something I love! We all know I cannot get enough pink and pom poms, so I gathered up all the fun pink poms I could find!
The beautiful dress I am wearing is from ASOS, and is under $30!! I knew immediately this dress will be perfect for summer! It will be packed along for my bachelorette party and honeymoon! I mean, the color, ruffles and cold shoulders…you can’t go wrong! It really is the perfect summer dress.
I accessorized this dress with my favorite straw tote, pom pom earrings and a fun DIY hat! The hat (minus the pom poms) was purchased at Target last summer. I found the fun pink pom pom string at Joann’s. I simply just sewed the pom poms around the hat and voila! A beautiful, beach ready hat!
