Happy December everyone! I don’t know about you, but I have been waiting to get festive for WAY too long. Now that December is here, it is all holiday all the time! The christmas season is even more fun as an early childhood teacher. I have SO much fun incorporating holiday activities in the classroom. I think my student’s favorite thing about this time of year in the classroom is our Elf-on-the-Shelf! More about that later.
December is probably the busiest time of the year for a lot of you, from buying gifts to all those holiday parties you get to attend. I have so many Christmas events to attend this year (I aint mad about it). With that being said, it is important to have a great outfit to wear. I will be sharing some holiday party inspiration on the blog every Saturday of the month of December.
This week, I went with a more low-key casual look. A poncho is one of my favorite things to wear in cold weather. I found this beauty during Black Friday (actually on a Wednesday…YAY for early Black Friday) for 70% off! For some reason I cannot find this exact poncho online, but I have seen it in-store all over! This poncho is so cozy. I also love the simplicity of the gray and white plaid. I love color, but sometimes it is fun to save the color for accessories.
I chose to accessorize this outfit with black and pink (No surprise there!). I have been wanting a pair of heels with bows for some time. I finally found this pair online for a VERY affordable price! I have been coveting this Kate Spade pair for sometime, but cannot justify spending that amount of money! The pair I found online was only $30.00. These heels are so comfortable and cute!
Lastly, I need to mention my leggings. They are velvet! Velvet has been HUGE this season. Whoever thought up making leggings out of velvet was a genius, because they feel AMAZING!
Poncho: The Limited (purchased in-store). I also love this option! // Velvet Leggings: Target // Earrings: Bauble Bar Nordstrom // Clutch: Target (The clutch i’m holding is almost the same, just has more texture) // Heels: Milanoo (Mine sold out, but I also love this pair).
