It’s officially the last day of 2016, which means this is my final post of the year! I hope you all have exciting plans to ring in the new year. I am attending an annual NYE party hosted by one of my closest friends. I always look forward to attending this party. There is no better way to reflect on the past year and ring in a new one than with your favorite people by your side! Continue reading “The Best Pink Cardi & Chunky Heels”

This week is the last one before my school district is off for holiday vacation! We are all SO ready, perhaps because we are the only school district I know of that was still open this week. Needless to say, I spent this week doing holiday activities with the kiddos and wearing Christmas outfits! Except on Wednesday when I wore sweat pants (Yay for half-days.)! Woohoo!
Dress: Retrolicious purchased last year from Modcloth. (Scroll to the bottom for current holiday dresses) // Cardigan: Tobi // Boots: Crown Vintage

Who else is in shock that it’s almost Christmas, which also means it is almost 2017?? This year has gone by SO fast! I have only 2.5 more days of work until I’m off for Christmas vacation, and I couldn’t be more ready! To be honest, i’m not sure who is more ready; the kiddos or me! The last few days of school before a holiday are always crazy. There is just something in the air that makes everything go haywire. thank goodness for Christmas cheer and celebration. Without that, I think my students would already be done! Our class holiday party is on Tuesday, and I know my littles are SUPER exited about it! My class will be enjoying some pizza, decorating Christmas cookies & watching a slide show of all our class photos (272 to be exact) from the year thus far. To be honest, the slide show will just be playing in the background because it is so long…and more for the parents! Continue reading “NYE Outfit”

One of my favorite ways of celebrating the holidays in my classroom is by incorporating Elf on the Shelf! My students LOVE their elf (and I won’t deny that I love it too).

This week I am sharing my second holiday party outfit. I found this pink pleated skirt at H&M and fell in love. The color, pleats, length and twirl factor are to die for! It also goes so well with a variety of pieces in my closet. This maxi is a fabulous item to dress up for a party, but it is also a great practical skirt for work. The length makes it an appropriate skirt to wear while teaching the littles. Continue reading “Pink Pleats & Sparkle”
Sweater Dress: ASOS // Tights: Target // Booties: Kenneth Cole Reaction (Similar pair here and here.) // Winter Coat: H&M // Scarf & Hat: Victorias Secret (Was a Christmas gift last year.)

Last week we officially began our holiday unit. I make it a point to really hit holidays other than christmas on the first week of this unit, as we spend so much of the next couple weeks doing Christmasy activities. One of the holidays we focused on last week was Hanukkah. The kiddos really loved this lesson and enjoyed learning some of the vocabulary that goes along with this holiday. Most (if not all) of my students celebrate Christmas, so it is important to give them a glance at some other holidays. I really wish we had more time, but I feel like we got a lot out of 1 week.

Happy December everyone! I don’t know about you, but I have been waiting to get festive for WAY too long. Now that December is here, it is all holiday all the time! The christmas season is even more fun as an early childhood teacher. I have SO much fun incorporating holiday activities in the classroom. I think my student’s favorite thing about this time of year in the classroom is our Elf-on-the-Shelf! More about that later. Continue reading “Poncho & Pink Pumps”
