It’s always difficult to return to work after a week long holiday. I decided to brighten up my wardrobe in hopes that it will brighten up my days and kick out my “back-to-work blues”. So far, so good!

I hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation! I enjoyed much needed time with family and friends and stuffed myself all vacation long. Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, it is time to get into the swing of the holidays. Christmas is my favorite time of year, and I wait ALL November long to finally get to decorate my home for the holidays. My fiancé makes me wait until the day after Thanksgiving to deck our halls. Yesterday was finally the day.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I thought it would not be appropriate for me to pass up this day without writing a post about thankfulness. I am thankful for so much in my life. This blog is definitely something I am grateful for. Those who know me know that it was no easy feet letting go of my insecurities to make The Teacher in Tulle happen. I have wanted to create a blog for years, but let my thoughts on what others would think stop me. Needless to say, I am so SO glad I finally let go of doubt and created this outlet for myself.
I am officially on Thanksgiving vacation! When on vacation, I certainly do not want to go into work to finish up last minute things, therefore I made sure to get my classroom all prepped for the holidays before leaving on Friday. When the kiddos return, they will come back to a new dramatic play center; the gingerbread bakery! Continue reading “Teacher Tuesday: Gingerbread Bakery”
A chambray goes with just about anything! I wear this exact top ALL season long paired with so many different items in my closet (shorts, skirts, skinnies, you name it!). This is also a top that I wear to work often. Continue reading “What I Wore [to Work] Wednesday”

One thing I get really excited about when the temps begin to drop are boots! Unfortunately, it usually does not cool down in Texas until late October or November. Now that November is here, and it is getting a bit chillier, I am finally able to tromp around town in my boots. I love my booties, but something about wearing a pair of real winter boots really gets me into the season. This pair come in normal sizes as well as wide-calf sizes (which I am wearing).
*These boots are meant to hit mid-calf, but not on my short legs. Continue reading “Boot Game Strong”

Blush is definitely the color of the season. Everywhere I look, I see fabulous blush pieces. I have to say I am a huge fan of this trend! It is no secret that my favorite color is pink, therefore any shade of pink during fall makes me a happy girl. This bell sleeved dress is so perfect for this time of year. It fits beautifully as a flowing dress, and will also work this winter with a pair of leggings or as a top paired with skinny jeans.
